DCS Richat is inspired / themed after the Richat structure aka 'The Eye of The Sahara'. for a quick backstory- the Richat structure is an extremely unique geological feature located in Mauritania. there are a few theories as to how this structure came to be, most of them pointing to natural volcanic activity or erosion, but the most intriguing is that it could be the site of Atlantis. the name Richat is a shortened form of the arabic name Guelb er Richt meaning Heart / dome of feathers.
